BPA-Free products still contain bisphenols of equal toxicity

BPA-Free Products Still Contain Bisphenols of Equal Toxicity
Mercola.com – June 20, 2012

“Just when you thought you’d learned everything there was to learn about how to avoid bisphenol-A (BPA), the endocrine-disrupting plastics chemical, new research shows that there’s more hormone-disrupting bisphenols around you than you probably thought.

“In answer to consumers’ demands to drop BPA from products, many manufacturers have simply switched to using a different—but equally toxic and perhaps even more toxic—chemical called bisphenol-S (BPS)….”

More information about BPA:

“Canada, in September 2010, declared BPA as a toxic substance…

“… BPA has been identified as an estrogen-mimicking compound since the 1930s, and is known to be particularly dangerous for pregnant women, infants and children. In fact, in the early 1930s BPA was used as an artificial estrogen to not only fatten poultry and cattle, but as a form of estrogen replacement therapy for women of the times. It was only in the 1940s that Bayer and General Electric used BPA to harden polycarbonate plastics and make epoxy resin….”

But there are other similar chemicals in the plastics too. Use glass whenever possible.

Crop fungicide linked to diabetes

Crop fungicide linked to diabetes
www.upi.com – June 26, 2012

‘… Dr. Robert Sargis of the University of Chicago said the chemical, tolylfluanid, is not registered for use in the United States but is used on food crops such as apples, grapes, hops and tomatoes in other countries.

‘”For the first time, we’ve ascribed a molecular mechanism by which an environmental pollutant can induce insulin resistance, lending credence to the hypothesis that some synthetic chemicals might be contributors to the diabetes epidemic,” Sargis said in a statement….’

The research was presented at the annual meeting of The Endocrine Society

The international trade agreements and the European Union also are making it harder for national governments to protect their citizens. So much for centralized consumer and health “protection” and legislation, which is all the State offers. These supposed nation states aren’t even sovereign anymore, just temporary stages on the way to a global State.

Do people have affordable choices or freedom under this system? How much? Do they have the means to sue companies in court when they have been defrauded or harmed? Do we have rights? Is there justice? Or is there just surrender and letting ourselves be destroyed chemically?

If we don’t agree with something in these large international so-called “free trade” agreements, can we get them altered? Please don’t call this system “free market”. It has nothing to do with the protection of individual rights. How do we defend ourselves from being poisoned? Are there different kinds of boycotts we can pursue?

Q&A: Bisphenol A and Plastics
John Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health – June 23, 2008

… In laboratory animal studies, exposure to BPA in utero and during infancy was found to adversely affect brain development and behavior. Laboratory animal studies also showed that early life exposures may alter development of the prostate gland in males and the mammary gland in females, as well as trigger an earlier start to puberty in females. While this research is limited, these effects occurred at exposure levels to bisphenol A similar to those seen in humans, which led the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) to posit that there is “some concern” about the risk of BPA exposure…

Since You Asked – Bisphenol A (BPA)
NIEHS – National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences

“One reason people may be concerned about BPA is because human exposure to BPA is widespread. The 2003-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES III) conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found detectable levels of BPA in 93% of 2517 urine samples from people six years and older. … Another reason for concern, especially for parents, may be because some animal studies report effects in fetuses and newborns exposed to BPA.”

Bisphenol A (BPA)
National Library of Medicine, Tox Town

“Bisphenol A is an endocrine disruptor, which is a chemical that may interfere with the production or activity of hormones in the human endocrine system…

“The National Toxicology Program (NTP) has “some concern” for effects on the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and children at current human exposures to BPA. The NTP has “minimal concern” for effects on the mammary gland and an earlier age for puberty for females, in fetuses, infants, and children at current human exposures to BPA. The possibility that BPA may alter human development cannot be dismissed, according to the NTP. The U.S. Geological Survey is “confident” that adult exposure to BPA affects the male reproductive tract, and that long-lasting effects in response to developmental exposure to BPA occur in the brain, male reproductive system, and metabolic processes. The Survey also considers it “likely” that adult exposure to BPA affects the brain, female reproductive system, and immune system, and that developmental effects occur in the female reproductive system.”

Say no to soya domination – soya and infertility

They hailed it as a wonderfood. Soya not only destroys forests and small farmers – it can also be bad for your health by Anthony Barnett, The Observer, Sunday 7 November 2004, www.guardian.co.uk

“Anderson’s ‘eureka’ moment arrived when a complex analysis of the samples she was working on revealed that the seminal liquid surrounding the slower-moving sperm contained chemicals called isoflavones. These compounds are also known as phyto-oestrogens or plant-oestrogens because they mimic oestrogen, the powerful female hormone.

“These highly active compounds are found in large concentrations in soya….”

Genetic modification, supposedly so they can spray herbicides that exterminate everything else.

Dislocation of local populations for the benefit of establishment international corporations and their so-called “free trade” system where nations and local tribes aren’t allowed to do their own thing any more, and there are hardly even any jobs out of it.

Risk to reproductive health and other serious health issues, total domination It’s the perfect food for the New World Order agenda, and they make sure they add it to almost everything you buy in the grocery store. Take a look at the labels.

They don’t call it socialism or communism or fascism. The world is being re-arranged and centrally planned by so-called “capitalists”, turned into a huge deliberately inter-locking socialist machine where we are made to be dependent on foreign and engineered food. And we are all being given the same food to eat.

And cancer is a big mystery to us. But maybe it shouldn’t be such a mystery at all, and we should wise up and pay attention, and take steps to protect our health as much as we can, about this and other issues. And stop trusting those who supply our “food”.

It’s not easy, but boycotting and complaining to companies, and communicating information to others is a starting point. We should be standing up to protect ourselves and our families. And we shouldn’t have to pay more. We don’t have more money. We should demand that companies clean up their act.

We shouldn’t allow garbage to be dumped on our plates. But we do. And someone’s dumping it. And governments allow it and approve it. What does that mean? You figure it out.

I believe in liberty. That means I believe human beings have rights and freedoms. And that includes the right to manufacture and sell products – in good faith however. But not just for international corporations! For us also. What happens as gas prices go up, and we have LESS for food? Why is all of this centrally controlled, and we have to deal with inflation and debt and these incredible TAXES and restrictions placed on our lives??

And we always find a way to blame each other and ourselves for not working hard enough etc., but why not blame those – public and private privileged interests – who limit our choices, who devalue the currency, who cut off our freedoms in the name of the “environment”, who shut down coal plants, and close off energy sources, bail out banks, who go along with all these lies about how we are causing climate change, who take away our civil liberties in the name of fighting terrorism, who continue wars as much as they like that do not benefit us.

Liberty also means the right and freedom to judge for ourselves, recognize the truth and protect our lives through boycott and information – from what appears to be predatory aggression. If governments were in the hands of ordinary people and not part of a monopolist control agenda, then maybe governments could be protecting us properly, or maybe not. The point is to recognize what is happening now and try to use some of the tools we have now that might work, such as boycott and information.
