It’s striking how Bernays talks about getting experts to modify the nomadic behavior of that tribe on behalf of the agricultural company, by using scientists to modify the crop, and then by using their Shaman to convince the tribe to accept the modified crop – by using religion in other words.

Have the same elites – friends of Bernays – with their political and financial power, used the same techniques on everyone else – via control over science and religion on an even larger scale? (See the link for comments on Gordon Wasson). Think of what may have been done with religious movements and mass communication all these years, and with more advanced scientific techniques such as genetic modification of crops (GMO).

By the way, Bernays’ book Propaganda is very revealing and explains techniques used to sell concepts and products – using celebrities for example (pg. 56). You should read it, because it contains some shocking statements about how society is directed, and is written from the point of view of the author who is promoting the practice of “propaganda” (he used the old term years before) as an effective tool:
