Acharya S. discusses the correspondences she researched between ancient Egyptian religion and Christian symbols, including the Gospel story. Also she mentions the importance of Philo, and how Eusebius connects the Therapeutæ to early Christianity, which is how I remember interpreting him when I read his book, and it bothered me at the time. Also she discusses the idea that the Roman Emperor Vespasian (founder of the Flavian dynasty) was involved in the creation of Christianity. Her earlier book The Christ Conspiracy I read years ago was about this subject also.

I think it’s constructive to share this info with those willing to accept it, because it might save them years of frustration trying to make literal sense of religious doctrines. There is probably some truth in religion if we are selective, but these ancient formulas are used by those in power to subdue and divide people. However, taking “sides” and becoming hostile to others who are religious or not religious is a societal dead end also. That’s exactly where the elites want us to go as other types of irrationality and dogmatism take over.
