Why do governments sign treaties that go against their national interests? Why does the treaty conflict with Obama’s supposed interest in bolstering domestic jobs? Why does it create an incentive to send jobs overseas? My explanation: Government rhetoric is empty. They are not working for our interests or national interests. They expect jobs to go overseas.
