Regulate internet, CRTC told Toronto Star, Feb. 17, 2009 – ACTRA wants the CRTC to regulate Canadian content on the Internet.   The CRTC is considering licensing new media providers.    The twisted and strained arguments made by the actors (one of them appeals to “choice” to suppress freedom) make it sound like it’s an establishment effort to fish for the weakest point of resistance among patriotic Canadians who are used to experiencing freedom on the Internet.    This is only their latest attempt.   Those who rule us will not give up until they succeed in abolishing the only aspect of our lives where we are not taxed and licensed, because many Canadians and others might start asking why we need bureaucrats to tell us how to live.
