Totalitarian do-not-call list – CRTC punishes evil home service businesses with huge fines for calling potential customers

CRTC issues $149K in do-not-call list fines against duct cleaner companies (https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/crtc-issues-149k-not-call-list-fines-against-204401048.html)
The Canadian Press – 24 March 2015
. . . Nine companies linked to illegal telemarketing calls about duct cleaning services have been named and shamed by the CRTC.
Four companies have already paid fines totalling $55,000, while another five are on notice for a combined $94,000 in penalties.
. . . The do not call list now has more than 12.8 million numbers that should not be dialled by telemarketers. . . .
CANADIANS ARE CROSSING OUR FINGERS – HOPING THIS WILL BE THE KEY TO FIXING THE ECONOMY AND MAKING US MORE PROSPEROUS – ALSO WAITING TO BE TAXED FOR CARBON – THAT WILL REALLY IMPROVE THINGS AND WE’RE WAITING TO BE FINED FOR SENDING EMAIL TO PEOPLE ALSO (NEVER MIND FREE SPEECH) – WHATEVER HELPS RESCUE US FROM OUR ENORMOUS DEBTS, IT SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH PREVENTING US FROM CALLING OR EMAILING PEOPLE.
I don’t think there is anybody else out there telling you this, but in recent years, Canada has been gradually re-wired to destroy small business. I really regret that Canadians have been participating in this absurd surveillance system of listing their phone numbers with the government in order to stop their neighbours from communicating with them to do business.
And on top of that, we’ve had the legislation to punish people for daring to send business emails.
The “conservative” government seems to be really proud of their super-socialist laws. It’s no surprise to me.
Readers may be skeptical that million-dollar data registries and bureaucracies are not necessary for preventing unwanted calls, but “of course” there are potential gentler technological methods and appropriate ways to deal with harassing calls. We used to have a different sort of society that knew where and how to draw the “no trespass” line, but I guess all of those old-fashioned attitudes have been lost now.
Now, everybody seems to want to put themselves on surveillance lists so that the corporate-run scientific dictatorship can pick off independent businesses one by one.
Never mind all the daily fraud calls in Canada–the criminal activity that goes on daily where elderly people and others are taken advantage of by people, for example, claiming to be servicing computers. Are the police even arresting any of these actual real criminals–these telephone fraudsters?
Wouldn’t that be some kind of “progress” if telephone fraud was actually dealt with effectively in this country by the justice system? Would that be too much to expect?
Do we have to have these communist social-engineering revolutions instead!
Never mind all the criminality. Make something criminal out of what was considered something admirable and praiseworthy–someone trying to make a living independently as a business owner.
Let’s celebrate communism together–or fascism, or whatever you want to call it.
I know that the major parties are all on board with the basic agenda–globalization, war, social engineering, war, attacks on free speech and civil liberties, war–it’s just that one of the parties seems to be a lot more militaristic than the others and the other parties seem to be a lot greener, but they’re all communists to me–Fabians, Trots, neo-cons, whatever. Blue, red, orange. They’re human-hating anti-individualist freedom-hating COMMUNISTS.
The new attitude is supposed to be: If we get annoyed at someone, why not shut them down with a hundred thousand dollar fine? What’s wrong with that?! They must be “evil”. The propaganda conditions us to react emotionally.
Anyway, I’m not blaming most Canadians for this much. The public didn’t come up with any of these agendas. Fining businesses for calling potential customers (used to be called doing business) is part of a whole gradual effort of New World Order laws that use propaganda to systematically demonize activities that were never considered crimes before–while all sorts of evil goes on continually on the Internet and on television and in the news.
People have been gradually trained to not even recognize good from bad. Any sense of justice has been trained out of people with moral relativity, lifeboat ethics and situational ethics.
Many people have been trained just to blindly hate others as annoying emitters of carbon and noise. Reality television is probably one of the ways this is promoted. The treatment of prisoners of war. The torture. The disgusting “comedy” that passes as entertainment. All of this lowers the value of our fellow human beings in our eyes. To some degree we’re affected by this propaganda. It isn’t a hundred percent effective yet, but it’s getting there. They’re working hard at it!
“Carbon dioxide” is considered a pollutant because a bunch of liars have been paid to say so repeatedly. Now that they’ve shut down coal-powered plants in places like Ontario, hey, there’s another reason to “celebrate” the wonderful economic future of not having much energy for anything. “Please, can we have less energy. We don’t need health care. We don’t need hospitals. We don’t need factories. We want to pay extra for everything. We want those poorer than us to lose their homes!”
Torture is considered something reasonable to do to people because some Hollywood star does it on a TV series for years (related to Tommy Douglas).
Considering people guilty before they’ve been tried and then shooting them in the head and then saying they were guilty after they’re dead (Boston bombing) is now a praiseworthy practice of governments–along with forcing people out of their homes in the middle of the night with no justification (Boston bombing).
The bully boys are taking over, singing it loud, singing it proud. And people are clapping for them–if the right emotions are evoked at the right moments.
Just like smoking a cigarette, or not recycling, or “not thinking positively,” calling someone up on the phone or emailing them with the “wrong” kind of message can be portrayed as something anti-social or pure evil.
“Oh, you couldn’t get any lower than that scum who called me offering to do my windows. I’m glad they’re fining them out of existence.” “Sorry about all the lost jobs when the business has to shut down, but that guy has to be taught a lesson!” Oh, yes, HE’S LEARNING HIS LESSON! WE’RE ALL LEARNING OUR LESSON!
Don’t have your own business. Don’t talk to people about it without authorization. Don’t make money without permission, without a security check, without a drug check, without being scanned and probed. Don’t you dare do your own thing.
So everything makes sense this way. Nobody needs to have any kind of rational moral sense now. Just let the real gangsters run everything and punish independent-minded people out of existence. Might makes right.
