I want to send regular newsletter notifications in order to keep readers updated about new posts.

I had replaced the old newsletter software, which was allowing invalid email address subscriptions from a helpful hacker, so that’s why I did that.

However my website email also had problems last month which might explain why I didn’t get notifications about new subscriptions and why subscribers appear not to have received activation emails to confirm their subscriptions.

So I am going to resend activation emails to subscribers listed as unconfirmed–and just the one time manually.
