“He has no right to do that at all . … People of authority just disrespecting me like this, or anybody at all, it should be no excuse. Everybody should be treated equally.”

At least he seems to have felt bad about it and apologized, but it’s too easy for some police to abuse people, especially when those in power seem to be  encouraging abuse at events like the G20.

Do the police exist to protect and serve the public – or the power structure?

We all need to decide this now – including police and politicians – before new energy taxes, home inspections, check points, and everything else is dropped on top of us.  Are we going to participate in oppression, and lend support to it, or are we going to try to make things easier for each other?
