Flu Vaccine Propaganda Season: Governments Say Mercury OK
A shot for the flu, with mercury too
www.carleton.ca/Capital_News/, CapitalNewsOnline, Michelle Catton, Nov 28 ’03
The free flu vaccine used in Canada contains 25 micrograms of mercury, not enough to be toxic, Leith says. But it’s enough to cause allergic reactions in a small number of people…
Misconceptions about Vaccine Safety
www.hc-sc.gc.ca, Health Canada, Dec 16 ’02
One preservative called thimerosal received a lot of attention in the U.S. in 1999 because it contains a tiny amount of mercury and was used in some childhood vaccines. A review conducted by an independent panel of the U.S. Institute of Medicine found no evidence that the tiny amount of mercury in childhood vaccines causes damage to a child’s nervous system.
Questions & Answers: Thimerosal-Containing Influenza Vaccine
www.cdc.gov, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Sep 14 ’04
…Thimerosal contains approximately 49% ethylmercury. There is no convincing evidence of harm caused by the low doses of thimerosal in vaccines,…However, in July 1999 the Public Health Service (PHS) agencies, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and vaccine manufacturers agreed that thimerosal should be reduced or eliminated in vaccines as a precautionary measure.
…For the 2004-2005 flu season, a limited number of individually packaged doses of preservative free, reduced thimerosal-content influenza vaccine are available …

Wikipedia: Mercury

“Mercury is a bioaccumulative toxin…”
So, if it’s a toxin, why put it in the human body? Isn’t it possible that the small quantities of mercury have some effect as they accumulate with each exposure?
Is it too much to expect these governments to be less one-sided? At least acknowledge there are logical concerns about putting mercury in the human body, and that people need to weigh the risks and benefits individually. A balanced approach would be better than sweeping scare-mongering and control tactics. Since governments are unable to deliver unbiased information, they should get out of the flu vaccine sales business.
I am sure there are those who believe that other people don’t deserve to be treated respectfully and given proper information, because otherwise they might get the idea they are free and own their own lives – even during public health scares. The fact is that people cooperated voluntarily to great effect during the SARS epidemic in Toronto, because not just governments and institutions are “concerned”. Actual thinking private citizens are also concerned about getting along with their neighbours and about finding ways to solve problems cooperatively without resorting to threats (threats being the usual method of governments).
The more governments try to control people and undermine independent thought, the more infantile, irresponsible and dangerous some in society will become. But it will never be irresponsible for someone to think twice before putting a toxin in their body.

Ontario Medical Association – Pushing for Tyranny
Doctors warn against smoking in cars, homes
CTV.ca, Oct 14 ’04
“Following up on a landmark report that revealed the risks of exposure to second-hand smoke, the Ontario Medical Association is advising the province to extend public smoking bans into private places…”
The media talks about “smokers’ rights” vs. “non-smokers’ rights”, but it’s really about basic individual rights to control your own home and car and life, and to be responsible for the health of your own children. Do you ever think about the risks involved in surrendering your freedoms to those who would police your whole life?
Is this what Canada is all about – making total infants out of each other? Let me spell it out for you: Your freedom is more important than your health. Our souls are sick when we are pushed around by special interests and government budget obsessions. Is this the ultimate cost of our public health care system?

Certainly, at one time there were purges and prisons [Soviet Union]. In these later years everyone was controlled through economics. If you challenged the government, they would not come and arrest you. Instead, you would lose your job and apartment and become destitute. They punished you through economic means…
Government “Failing” to Replace Parents – Urged to Try Harder
Canada’s child care is failing, OECD says
www.globeandmail.com, Oct 25 ’04
“The report calls on the federal and provincial governments to draft a coherent vision for a publicly funded, universal system of early-childhood learning and care, based on the latest social science, with hard and fast steps, benchmarks, time frames and budgets for putting into place a program in every province that would be the cornerstone of Canadian family policy.”
Why does the government have a “family policy”? Each family should have its own policy.
Is anyone noticing this? Does anybody question this kind of talk? This is the most blatant continuing effort to undermine the role of the family. Didn’t all of this end with the fall of Communism? The government is failing in so many ways to “care” for other peoples’ children – they are “bored” and the workers don’t let the kids outside – but the solution is what? “Draft a coherent vision” so they can more effectively undermine the responsibility of parents. “How dare you have ho-hum day care that lets the kids think their parents are still in charge?”
Oh, I’m sorry – I just said “day care”, but of course the correct term, comrades, is “child care” because “day” implies some kind of LIMITATION on non-parental control.
Parents must reconsider their lifestyles and priorities and think hard about ways they can avoid letting the government determine how their own children are raised. It is the natural role of parents to care for their children. If some day care is necessary, the parents should be in the role of determining its nature privately and not the government.
You may disagree with me, but the government does not have the right to interfere in private lives no matter what you think – except for vicious criminality. Maybe you want it to run your life, but you also want to push it on others too, don’t you?
Also, why is it the business of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to recommend anything to the government of a sovereign nation? They talk about all the European countries who have moved along their Orwellian track so well and present them as examples for Canada to emulate. Can’t we limit this intrusiveness to our own country without taking part in global-scale tyranny? Please, sir, can we have our Brave New World reduced in size just a little?

Dwarf skeleton puzzles scientists
www.theglobeandmail.com, Alanna Mitchell, Oct 28 ’04
Skeletons of a newly discovered human species, 1 meter tall, dated at 18,000 years, have been found on the Indonesian island of Flores. A paper was published today in the science journal Nature by authors including Peter Brown, a “paleoanthropologist at the University of New England in New South Wales, Australia.”
…long before the Flores crew found the new species, they had been told by local residents of a strange little people who lived there in caves, said Henry Gee, a paleontologist and a senior editor of Nature.
Locals could describe them in detail, including their habits and which caves they were associated with. Locals spoke of sightings as recently as when the Dutch took over the island, less than two centuries ago.
