Fundraising and information sharing project: Thank you very much to those who have donated. Earlier in the year I had tried on a couple of occasions to message politicians and others across the country. And it may have had some effect–as with others doing the same thing, but you’ll notice they barely budge. A couple of them might shift with their consciences, they seemed to have–but it’s just a couple.

As many of you know, it’s a time-consuming pursuit to express your beliefs and facts to anyone. In any case, I think it’s more important to inform local officials also and especially relevant organizations, professionals, businesses of all kinds and also friends, family and the general public. So I have started a systematic approach starting with the local area and widening out to wherever I can reach–don’t set any limits.

So I hope that if as many people as possible do the same thing–and I know others have already been doing this–besides social media I mean, which is good also, there are many doing a great job with that area–we can all make a difference that way. I think the quality of the information is important although everyone has to follow their own judgment about that and intuition. I think information needs to be sourced and has to have some grounding to it.

An area where there is a lot of controversy has to do with theories about viruses–I think introducing a new theory about viruses (new to the public who don’t even know much about the old theory) whether it’s correct or not (theories about invisible particles require arguments and evidence and time) is like trying to push your car while sliding on the ice. Another area is the left-right divide in politics which I try to be clear about. I think there are biases that can detract from the message for example, and I think that’s part of the way things have been set up for us. People can be very firm in their beliefs. Some beliefs in some products and organizations need to be challenged effectively and will be challenged by reality but other issues we can ease off a bit as we try to get along with others.

In my opinion, this approach makes sense and it’s necessary to do something like this–to do what we can. I am looking at print delivery and mass mailing if possible but these things are beyond my means without extra funding–this is something I am willing to discuss with others. I will deliberately start adding more value to the website including commentaries part of the time so that the one topic doesn’t dominate everything. So I’m just going to do what I can day by day as well as trying to stay stable where I am (don’t know). Thank you for your support!
