Climate change propagandists take a hit – 15 years "plateau" of no warming – but their agenda continues anyway, paid very well by power elites
Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released… and here is the chart to prove it | David Rose | www.dailymail.co.uk | October 13, 2012
“The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.
“This means that the ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996…”
To me, it’s clear. The chart shows .5° above 14°C world average in 1997 and .5° above that average in 2012.
.5 minus .5 equals 0
“…Your bills are going up, at least in part, because of the array of ‘green’ subsidies being provided to the renewable energy industry, chiefly wind.
“They will cost the average household about £100 this year. This is set to rise steadily higher – yet it is being imposed for only one reason: the widespread conviction, which is shared by politicians of all stripes and drilled into children at primary schools, that, without drastic action to reduce carbon-dioxide emissions, global warming is certain soon to accelerate…”
And there is even a quote from the UK Conservatives who make like they’re going to take the burden off the backs of the people (as if they are going to go against the EU).
Even Professor Phil Jones admits the data represents a “plateau”, but he says 15 years is not significant!
See also Met Office responses to Rose’s questions. Some observations:
The UK Met Office say the data show a rise of 0.03 degrees per decade. But I notice the uncertainty figure on a related chart here is 0.09° or 0.10°, so is it legitimate to talk about 0.03°? So Rose is right to say “no discernible rise”.
Also the Met Office admits the following:
“…In addition, we also know that changes in the surface temperature occur not just due to internal variability, but are also influenced by “external forcings”, such as changes in solar activity, volcanic eruptions or aerosol emissions. Combined, several of these factors could account for some or all of the reduced warming trend seen over the last decade – but this is an area of ongoing research.”
He’s trying to say it’s cancelled out by nature. Another way of looking at it is that the supposed man-made carbon trend (if any) is going to be negligible compared to the forces of nature – the effect of the Sun’s activity, as well as that of volcanoes, oceans and forests, whether causing warming or cooling.
What kind of “crisis” is it when there is no warming for 15 years!
Look at how these people have the whole world invested in this make-believe nonsense with carbon trading and windmills. There is a very serious political power grab behind this.
