Contact Tracing Surveillance Statement 1.0
During the COVID-19 event, the people have been threatened by governments, corporations and media with the imposition of “contact tracing” – using phone apps to detect close contacts–to track movements–and also the threat of door-to-door testing. All of this represents a violation of privacy and a new totalitarian spy culture that imposes itself in every aspect of our lives.
We assert the right to privacy. We assert the right to all of our natural God-given rights and freedoms, including the ones expressed in such documents as the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The policy of “contact tracing”–using the excuse of the COVID-19 virus or any other justification is the imposition of spying measures that will turn our society into something that is abusively totalitarian. Our homes and families are sacred ground also–nobody has the right to threaten to remove family members from homes using the justification of “quarantine”–as WHO and others have threatened to do. This has never been done before.
Already, based on unsubstantiated beliefs generated by one-sided messaging, people are being required to answer questions about medical symptoms that may or may not be significant or relevant in any way to their particular concerns–in order to work or to obtain necessities. And they are being asked about the medical symptoms of their friends, family members and other contacts. They are being poked with thermometers and told to wear face masks as if they are animals. And privacy laws are being violated as information is apparently being shared with police and other agencies. People are being made to feel on edge for the sake of a concern about coughs, fevers, sniffles and other cold symptoms. This has never happened before. This is abuse.
