Xi Warns Davos Forum Against ‘New Cold War’

Chinese President Xi Jinping warned global leaders at an all-virtual Davos forum Monday against starting a “new Cold War” while he championed multilateralism.
The article has some coverage of a few points from Davos and is full of distorted COVID messaging.
225 million jobs were lost since COVID began according to the UN’s International Labour Organization.
And the truth is that this was due to the policies afflicted on the world, not due to the virus.
Oxfam’s study “The Inequality Virus” claims “it could take more than a decade for the world’s poorest to recover.”
There is an accord between the EU and China.
But some members of the European Parliament and activist groups say the accord should be contingent on Beijing’s ratifying international conventions banning forced labour.
Will that stop them from getting closer to China? I don’t think so.
I also tend to doubt the theatre between China and the U.S. Probably there isn’t really much division between them except on the surface.
This is their global system.
