According to Mother Jones, Congress slipped in a provision to legislation:

“a single paragraph buried in a 90-page bill… would allow farmers to plant GM crops even during legal appeals of the USDA’s approval process, and even if a federal court orders that the crops not be planted.”

California’s Prop 37 would require labeling of genetically modified foods so that consumers can decide for themselves. As the video points out, building insecticides like Bt-toxin into the plants we eat is a real health concern. This proposal makes sense to me, because everyone should be able to protect themselves from this assault. It’s really fraud to call it “food”.
