If they were serious about stopping ISIL/ISIS, Canada, US and Britain would pressure their allies Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar to cut off their funding instead of using ISIS as justification to invade Syria

To really combat terror, end support for Saudi Arabia by Owen Jones, The Guardian, 31 August 2014
Owen Jones points to three kingdoms who are alleged to be funding ISIS/ISIL: Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
These three nations are allies of the United States and Britain.
If NATO countries wanted to stop ISIS, the United States and Britain would pressure these kingdoms to cut off funding. There would be no need for any military intervention.
In my view, it seems that ISIS, a group opposed to the Syrian government, is being used as a justification for a potential invasion and bombing of Syrian territory, which is what Obama has announced:
Obama Says U.S. Will Bomb ISIS in Syria, Train Rebels by Zeke J Miller, Time.com, 10 September 2014
Obama’s Anti-ISIS War in Syria May Be Illegal by Massimo Calabresi, Time.com, 11 September 2014
The Canadian government, and Members of Parliament, should just tell the truth about all of this, and try to put a stop to it.
I can tell from listening to the CBC that the Canadian media has never been more infiltrated by bloodthirsty mercenary propagandists doing their part to promote constant war in order to build up their bosses’ “New World Order” (a phrase one of them deliberately used on a recent episode of Power and Politics).
