Instead of society based on free will and accountability – starting with prisoners, let’s “screen” for “brain injuries” and drug them with some bogus excuse

Prisoners in Scotland’s jails should undergo tests for signs of brain injury and be prescribed mood-altering drugs to help bring down re-offending rates, according to experts….
Getting hit in the head (as a criminal)
…. could be a factor in persistent offending.
which “could be” pseudo-scientific speculation.
Now the Howard League Scotland, a penal reform charity …
– change agents with a harmless-sounding cover (like other advocacy groups) who promote government power-grabs and taking rights from the individual –
… is urging the Scottish Prison Service to introduce screening programmes to pick up injuries that could be treated using drugs.
No, they’re just going to hunt for a supposed injury – or some other plausible excuse – to justify drugging the prisoner.
Research has found that criminals with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) – which can be caused by brain injury – who took drugs such as Ritalin were between 32 and 41 per cent less likely to re-offend. …
ADHD doesn’t make a person criminal. And “can be caused by brain injury” doesn’t mean it is.
It makes sense that the drug would cause so much actual damage that it would make some of them “less likely to re-offend” or less likely to do anything at all.
So in addition to schoolchildren, they’ll start with prisoners – nobody cares about them or whether they’re really guilty of anything – to start the more systematic brain screening and drugging of society in order to pacify all of us as in Brave New World.
