23 die in Norway after receiving Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine: officials

Twenty-three people died in Norway within days of receiving their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, with 13 of those deaths — all nursing home patients — apparently related to the side effects of the shots, health officials said.

Common reactions to the vaccine, including fever and nausea, “may have contributed to a fatal outcome in some frail patients,” Sigurd Hortemo, chief physician at the Norwegian Medicines Agency, said in a Friday statement [see below].

While officials aren’t expressing serious concern, they are adjusting their guidance . . .

“We are not alarmed by this,” … “It is quite clear that these vaccines have very little risk, with a small exception for the frailest patients.”

Very little risk?! But it’s a known risk that there are severe reactions in the study data I summarized here.

“Doctors must now carefully consider who should be vaccinated,” he added. “Those who are very frail and at the very end of life can be vaccinated after an individual assessment.”

!! Are people receiving an individual assessment?!

So much pressure on people to take the vaccine.

Other serious side effects have been reported.

The article mentions that 400 die each week in Norway’s nursing homes.

“Norwegian authorities have prioritized the immunization of residents in nursing homes, most of whom are very elderly with underlying medical conditions and some which are terminally ill,” … “[The Norwegian Medicine Agency confirms] the number of incidents so far is not alarming, and in line with expectations.”

Notice how they prioritized nursing home residents, just like in Canada! And deaths were expected!

The double-speak is just so blatant. The spin, for example, during the video interview, is just outrageous. And so is the blatant admission that they knew people would die. They’re not hiding it. They want to see if the public notices.

The large studies on Comirnaty (BioNTec/Pfizer) did not include patients with unstable or acute illness – and included few participants over 85 years of age. In Norway we are now vaccinating the elderly and people in nursing homes with serious underlying diseases, therefore it is expected that deaths close to the time vaccination may occur

The Norwegian Medicines Agency and the National Institute of Public Health jointly assess all reports of suspected adverse reactions. As a result, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health has updated the covid-19 vaccination guide with more detailed advice on vaccinating the elderly who are frail.

As of 14 January, 23 reports of suspected deaths have been submitted to the Norwegian ADR health registry. The figures in the published report include the thirteen reports that have been assessed by the Norwegian Medicines Agency and the National Institute of Public Health. Several reports of suspected adverse reactions are received on a daily basis and are continuously assessed.
