NHL star takes a stand for rights and freedoms
January 24, 2012: Ice hockey star refuses to go to White House for victory tour to protest at ‘out of control government’
Monday, January 23, 2012: Thomas statement on White House absence
Statement by Boston Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas:
“I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.
“This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.
“Because I believe this, today I exercised my right as a Free Citizen, and did not visit the White House. This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country. This was about a choice I had to make as an INDIVIDUAL.
This is the only public statement I will be making on this topic. TT”
In the context of what is happening, the Republicans and Democrats passed the outrageous National Defense Authorization Act into law and President Obama signed it. It allows indefinite detention without trial for both non-citizens and citizens. And it’s just the latest in a long list of oppressive laws passed since the three towers (yes, two planes, three towers) were obliterated in 2001, crumbling into dust and molten steel.
And this is in the context of the TSA removing diapers from old ladies with cancer. Do you not understand what that’s about? We are all being tested, and very few are holding on to principle.
The future is degradation, propaganda, torture, war and total tyranny. And most people are still in denial. So that’s the way things are going because people let it happen. They go along with evil. They accept evil things that are done and make excuses and refuse to acknowledge the truth.
