ONTARIO MPP RANDY HILLIER CHALLENGES PREMIER DOUG FORD’S OUTDOOR SOCIAL GATHERING LIMIT
Bright Light News | October 21, 2020
On a rainy morning, Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Ontario MPP Randy Hillier was joined by a small but resolute crowd to challenge the Ontario government’s restriction of 25-max people in outdoor social gatherings.
The social gathering of 150+ people took place just north of the Queen’s Park legislature.
Mr. Hillier announced his intentions to do so yesterday in the legislative assembly and was welcomed by an appreciative crowd this morning. All attendees were maskless and not social distancing and in support of Mr. Hillier’s claims that the government’s lockdown measures are unconstitutional and not supported by the scientific data or evidence and harming the rights and freedoms, health and livelihoods of millions of Ontarians.
Mr. Hillier faced receiving a $10,000 fine as the event’s organizer, but there were no Toronto police or by-law officers in attendance.
