Axed employee blows whistle; federal government investigating

Dozens of employees at Canada’s largest bank are losing their jobs to temporary foreign workers, who are in Canada to take over the work of their department. …

“The rules are very clear. You cannot displace Canadians to hire people from abroad,” said Immigration Minister Jason Kenney.

The federal government recently announced it is tightening rules for its Temporary Foreign Worker program because of criticism over foreigners taking jobs from Canadians. …

In any case, the RBC spokesperson said most of the jobs will go overseas.

Ironically, the RBC is one of these “special” banks who are designated as “systemically important” or “too big to fail” by the Canadian government.

The “Canadian” government is locking us into all of these trade agreements, but people believe it’s there to protect Canadian interests and Canadian jobs even though it never stops signing international agreements.

As an RBC depositor I will officially be at the window next week to clean out all my investments and accounts. I urge everyone RBC customer to to the same . Even if it means taking it to another bank, we should all do it just on principle and support Canadian workers. This has to stop.

I think it’s a good sign that many Canadians feel supportive of those who lose their jobs.

Can you imagine what would happen if people started standing up for each other, and holding corporations – and governments – accountable for their decisions?

Making choices about where our money goes is a better strategy than relying on government.

Governments are signed on with corporations for globalism – which is all about reducing us to serfdom – low wages, intense regulations and heavy taxes – using all sorts of excuses which people tend to fall for – in order to wreck our standard of living and the degree of freedom we used to have.

If we’re so free, if this system is so great, why are we living in fear of losing our jobs?

Basically the RBC spokesperson says it’s an established practice with corporations in Canada. Everybody else is doing it.
