Example from Page 4 of the official report:
At least five CIA detainees were subjected to “rectal rehydration” or rectal feeding without documented medical necessity. The CIA placed detainees in ice water “baths.” The CIA led several detainees to believe they would never be allowed to leave CIA custody alive, suggesting to one detainee that he would only leave in a coffin-shaped box. One interrogator told another detainee that he would never go to court, because “we can never let the world know what I have done to you.” CIA officers also threatened at least three detainees with harm to their families—to include threats to harm the children of a detainee, threats to sexually abuse the mother of a detainee, and a threat to “cut [a detainee’s] mother’s throat.”

Comment: I don’t doubt that these incidents of pure evil took place. However, you can’t completely trust all of this information and the proclaimed motives for it being presented. It looks to me like these atrocities are used dialectically and theatrically to discredit the United States and to elevate the United Nations–its carbon tax power grab especially. These are just two sides of the same coin, and the people of the world are very effectively being sold the other side of the coin as if it’s something different.
An example of dialectic tension is presented in A Brief History of the Future by Jacques Attali (futurist, banker, civil servant, and adviser to French presidents). The end result in his predicted sequence of events is that after one power runs amok in the world (the US and the West basically), another power steps in as the supposed Savior (portrayed as genuine) to rescue humanity.
Along with the United States being discredited, the values that the United States supposedly stands for are also dragged through the mud. This is psychological warfare and terroristic, morale-destroying degradation. Instead of individual rights and freedoms, private property, family life and privacy, we are left with a new authoritarian dark ages where the Sun doesn’t heat the earth unless the Boss says so.
