Very interesting discussion about libertarian principles and property rights.

Stephan Kinsella is an IP lawyer and libertarian philosopher. His favorite author is Hans Herman Hoppe.

In the first hour, they discuss the negatives of intellectual property, how it’s being used to build up the police state and violate free speech, how the penalties are absurd, how patents are applied to living organisms, how U.S. federal laws go against the U.S. constitution, etc.

Does intellectual property create violations of physical property rights? Does it violate constitutional rights? In the real world, that’s how it’s being used.

Is it possible to have a free society with IP? I think the system is going to continue to be more and more out of control and unreasonable because of the goals of those who are running it.
