U.S. patent examples relating to fertility management, immunocontraceptive vaccines, special addiction and Alzheimer’s “vaccines”, Canadian government funding of vaccines and genomics (updated July 5, 2023)
May 11, 2020: Note: I had to correct one of the links below. If other links take you to the wrong page, use the patent number I reference and search the patent database.
July 5, 2023: Further to the previous update, the original search I used with the old database search format was “http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=0&p=1&f=S&l=50&Query=%22fertility+management%22&d=PTXT”.
I have corrected the searches in this post because the old links failed because of changes with the database.
I have corrected the links to use the following permanent search address format: “https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/external.html?q=(8377958).pn.”
This is explained in a document I found linked at https://www.uspto.gov/patents/search.
The number is the patent number and “.pn.” afterwards specifies the actual patent number document (otherwise other documents come up in the search). This document comes up in an app in another browser tab depending on how you have your browser configured. You can change the display mode to “image view” (button) and you can then find a save button which produces a PDF.
In any case, the response is very slow and the server doesn’t seem to be happy with multiple searches anyway, so it may be better to do the search manually yourself.
Another method is to go this site https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/static/pages/landing.html, click on “Basic Search” and enter the patent number. This provides a PDF result, but I’m not sure it’s a permanent link.
Related to the previous post, another search (web archive link) term to use is “fertility management.” Several of the results (original search: http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-adv.htm&r=0&p=1&f=S&l=50&Query=%22fertility+management%22&d=PTXT) are of interest:
This patent from 2013–number 8,377,958: Lonidamine analogues for fertility management:
The prevention of unplanned pregnancy in humans and other mammals is of continuing concern for both the developing and the developed world.
The words “vaccine” etc. is not mentioned in this specific patent, but “immunocontraceptive” is.
Number 6,045,799: Chimeric contraceptive vaccines
(Corrected this link: May 11, 2020)
Abstract
The invention is directed to contraceptive vaccines comprising a carrier protein or fragment thereof in peptide linkage with a reproduction related polypeptide, protein or fragment thereof, and to DNAs encoding the chimeric proteins. The invention also includes the use of the chimeric proteins in immunocontraceptive methods.
. . . Fertility management in mammals is a global issue of agricultural, economic and social importance. . . .
. . . Another aspect of the invention is directed to immunocontraceptive methods which comprise administering to a mammal, including humans, an immunocontraceptively effective dose of a chimeric protein according to the present invention. The chimeric protein of the present invention may be administered with a suitable diluent, adjuvant, carrier or in a depot (slow release) formulation to allow prolonged exposure of the chimeric protein to the host mammal’s immune system. . . .
Also:
8,546,337 Self-assembling peptide nanoparticles useful as vaccines
. . . These nanoparticles are useful as vaccines and adjuvants. . . .
. . . The invention further relates to a method of vaccinating humans or non-human animals using such self-assembling peptide nanoparticles incorporating T-cell epitopes and/or B-cell epitopes. . . .
The following excerpts indicate future “vaccines” under consideration:

In another preferred embodiment, the compositions of the invention are immunotherapeutics that may be used for the treatment of metabolic disorders and diseases, or addictions. Most preferred are immunotherapeutics for the treatment of Alzheimer disease, hypertension, obesity, nicotine- and cocaine addictions.

In another preferred embodiment, the compositions of the invention are immuno-therapeutics that may be used for the treatment of cancer. . . .
Think of the kind of trust we will need in a world filled with marketing information about brain-altering and disease-preventing(?) vaccines!
Maybe that’s exactly what we will have to start out with–“lack of trust” vaccines, closely followed by “lack of obedience” vaccines.
(Watch the film Code 46 to see Tim Robbins use the “empathy” virus.)
Relating to these surprising types of vaccines being considered, such as one to supposedly prevent Alzheimer’s, the 2013 Canadian federal budget mentions the usual sorts of subsidies towards vaccines and genetic research, and one of these (page 191) concerns the funding of a possible Alzheimer’s vaccine:
Cangene Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company, has licensed a technology platform developed by a researcher at the University of British Columbia to treat Alzheimer’s disease. The discovery will allow the company to advance an immune therapeutic treatment to directly impact the disease’s progression. In time, the discovery could lead to a preventative vaccine.
Personally, instead of allowing others to mess with our brains–I would rather understand the conditions (e.g., false nutritional information from “authorities” and nutritionally problematic food) that have been causing the damage already.
I don’t agree with these kinds of subsidies. I don’t think we are notified properly about the contents of these budgets, and we are certainly not asked for our opinion.
As far as I’m concerned, these developments are part of a vast biological engineering project for the human brain and body.
No thanks! I’M OPTING OUT.
And Canadians should take a look at many of the federal budgets (original: http://www.budget.gc.ca/pdfarch/index-eng.html) (and provincial) over the last decade and start asking questions about government funding, including regular subsidies for genomics research (e.g., page 196).
What is the research about? How invasive is it going to get?
Tagging everything? Modifying everything? Re-engineering everything? Monitoring everything? Owning everything?
Read the Agenda 21 document for some idea of what this is about.
. . . already widespread concern about the possibility of biological and chemical tampering with what has until now been considered the immutable essence of man. Human conduct, some argue, can be predetermined and subjected to deliberate control. Man is increasingly acquiring the capacity to determine the sex of his children, to affect through drugs the extent of their intelligence, and to modify and control their personalities. Speaking of a future at most only decades away, an experimenter in intelligence control asserted, “I foresee the time when we shall have the means and therefore, inevitably, the temptation to manipulate the behavior and intellectual functioning of all the people through environmental and biochemical manipulation of the brain.
