“NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair tells Steve Paikin what the Official Opposition thinks of the 2012 Federal Budget.”
I agree with what he says about the Canadian government raising the retirement age to 67:
“…people are going to have to work an extra two years. That’s $12,000 plucked from the pockets of Canadians who have worked their whole lives …”
I don’t agree with the system – it should be voluntary – but it’s a system of pillaging and control.
With the change in pension policy, people are going to be poorer and have less power and less options in their lives. At the same time, more of our tax money is going to benefit governments and banks, so that the ruling elites end up with more power, while we have less power.
Then he proceeds to ruin the interview by advocating economy-wrecking tax increases and regurgitating global warming propaganda:
“I would certainly go after a cap and trade system for greenhouse gas emissions…”
Somehow that’s going to help the poor?!
