(6/4/2020 – One thing I have to say is that I am not into campaigning against Christianity. At the time I studied this material, I was trying to deal with my beliefs–some of which I found very confusing and burdensome, and I have other posts about that. I found the arguments referred to below convincing at the time, I’m open to hearing contrary arguments.)

Recently I watched the movie Zeitgeist and I was very impressed with much of it. On the other hand, I reject the anti-freedom technocratic message that is mixed in with Zeitgeist Addendum.

The first part of Zeitgeist deals with Christianity and the astrological and solar nature of the story of Jesus and how it is matched by the story of the Egyptian god Horus and many other mythological heroes.   Many of the details were new to me.

I noticed that Acharya S. was listed as an advisor for Zeitgeist. I had come across her web site truthbeknown.com years ago when I was trying to resolve my beliefs about Christianity.  I also read her book The Christ Conspiracy.
