This page explains the agenda of the Canadian branch of the World Federalist Movement, which is one of many powerful non-governmental non-representative private organizations that push for world government.

They make it sound as appealing as possible, but it means giving up sovereignty:

“…World Federalists are committed to overcoming the division of our world among competing states, interests and sovereignties. We understand and uphold the oneness of humanity. And we recognize the many technological, social and political forces that are stitching together tomorrow’s global community…”

It mentions these “forces” as if they just arise spontaneously and push us along towards world government naturally.

Also it asserts the “oneness” of humanity.  Or Star Trek fans could call it the BORG-ness of dominated humanity.  So the New Age rhetoric is fully utilized.  If we literally became one, we would all lose our individual decision-making abilities and self-ownership.   So being mindless and powerless sounds so nice to some.

World government will mean more controls over our lives, more taxes and more power centralized in the hands of the same elites who dominate us now.
