Aborted fetal cells used to test food flavor enhancers – Wrong! Stop! — 1 Comment

  1. Update:

Article by Dr. Mercola on the problems with flavor enhancers

The receptors used to test flavor enhancers

“are made from HEK293 — HEK stands for Human Embryonic Kidney cells … HEK293 originally came from a healthy, electively aborted baby whose cells were then harvested and cloned.”

Dr. Mercola explains that these flavor-altering compounds do not need to go through the FDA’s typical process for food additives. The ingredients are listed only as “artificial flavors”.

    From Senomyx’s site (http://www.senomyx.com/flavor_programs/)

“Senomyx has discovered or in-licensed many of the key receptors that mediate taste in humans. Using isolated human taste receptors, we created proprietary taste receptor-based assay systems that provide a biochemical or electronic readout when a flavor ingredient interacts with the receptor.”

    Article by lifesitenews.com:

‘“What they do not tell the public is that they are using HEK 293 – human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce those receptors,” stated Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director for CGL, the watch dog group that has been monitoring the use of aborted fetal material in medical products and cosmetics for years.’

The previously mentioned research paper, authored by employees of the company mentions the “HEK-293” derived cell lines.

References to HEK-293 and what it means:
human embryonic kidney cells …The source of the cells was a healthy, aborted fetus

“HEK-293 (human epithelial kidney cells) were originally derived in 1977 from human embryonic kidney cells transformed with sheared adenovirus 5 DNA grown in tissue culture”

Wikipedia article: “The human embryonic kidney cells were obtained from a healthy aborted fetus”

“HEK 293 cells were generated by transformation of human embryonic kidney cell cultures” – other fetal tissues mentioned (http://www.mbi.ufl.edu/~shaw/293.html)

    Cell-culture Database: 293 cell lines (http://cell-lines.toku-e.com/Cell-Lines_31.html).

Click on Detail for the first one for example:
    “Species source: human
    Organ source: kidney; fetal”

“Human” – you know, or “rat” or whatever. That’s the message of “Science” in the service of the World Corporate State – that most human beings are just animals and resources – raw material – in the service of the elite’s authoritarian collective – which also approves whatever it wants and calls it “food”.
